We at Peary want to encourage reading in the early grades to help scholars develop a life long love of reading.
Grades Pk-2 : Scholars will receive a Peary book bag at the beginning of the year. They will come to the library every day to check out 2 books upon the return of the previous days books.
Grades 3-6: Scholars will come to the library once a week to check out a maximun of 4 books.
The library loves readers!! We love to celebrate reading by rewarding scholars who turn in reading logs. For every reading log turned in scholars will get the opportunity to select a prize from the treasure chest. All scholars that turn in reading logs are then eligible for a chance to win one of 4 kindle fires.
Come into the library quietly and orderly.
Place books to return on library counter and pick up your library stick.
Browse shelves and make the best selection for you.
Line up at the circulation desk waiting quietly for your turn to check out. Only one scholar permitted on the rug at a time.
Sit on benches and read quietly.
