Hi! Welcome to Peary and thank you for your interest in Peary Elementary. It has been an honor to work with our eastside families, scholars, and community members to provide the best learning experience for our scholars. Teaching has always been my passion and it is all I have ever wanted to do. My passion inspired me to graduate from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah with a bachelor's degree in elementary education and the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Education degree in Supervision, Curriculum, and Instruction.
I’ve enjoyed serving Tulsa Public Schools for 18 years, beginning my career teaching at Hamilton Middle School. After 8 years at Hamilton where I served as a teacher, instructional coach, and dean, I worked for 2 years as assistant principal and then principal at McLain Junior High. In the fall of 2013, I accepted the role as principal at Peary Elementary. Each scholar comes to school with amazing strengths and experiences. I love working with teachers and parents to discover what motivates our scholars to develop their talents. When we work together for our scholars, we can make their world a better place for them to thrive and succeed.
My family is very dear to me. I have a 3rd grade daughter who loves to play soccer that transferred into Tulsa Public Schools and currently attending Peary. I enjoy spending time with my family when I am not with my second family at Peary. I love my family at Peary and consider this to be my TPS home. I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.
